Our Company

Newberry Electric Cooperative (NEC) is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric distribution utility located in Newberry, South Carolina. Being a member-owner of NEC does have its privileges. Not only do our members pay some of the lowest rates for their electricity, they have a democratic voice in the operation of the cooperative through a member elected board of trustees.
